Recent Cases
At Hamilton, Burgess, Young & Pollard, PLLC, we have been very successful at winning for our clients. Below are some of our recent cases:
In April 2007, Ralph Young obtained a $5.35 million dollar verdict for our client, who had been sexually assaulted by a doctor in Princeton.*
In May 2007, Kevin Burgess and Ralph Young were successful after a week-long trial on behalf of a client against his own insurance company. Our client had been abandoned by his insurance company and had suffered a large judgment against him. the jury ruled that the insurance company would have to satisfy the judgment against our client, and also awarded our client $25,000 compensatory damages and $150,000 punitive damages.*
Ralph Young and Chris Frost have also been successful in settling several claims of unfair debt collection practices, negotiating settlements of $90,000, $100,000, and $180,000 for our clients. In each of the cases, our client had been subjected to a large number of harrassing telephone calls, even after the debt collector had been informed that our firm represented the client. In one of the cases, our client was not even the person who owed the debt. The debt collectors were harrassing her to collect a debt owed by a relative.*
The attorneys of Hamilton, Burgess, Young & Pollard are always interested in talking to anyone who believes they have been harrassed unfairly by a debt collector, mistreated by their insurance company, or assaulted by a doctor or anyone in a person of authority. These are just a few of the many types of cases our attorneys are qualified to handle.
*Note: past successes are not an assurance of future success because each case must be decided on its own merits.
